Rural Sri Lanka is brimming with sporting talent, simply lacking the right opportunities and training to be unleashed. Over the years, the Foundation of Goodness along with many supporters have strived to bridge this gap of opportunity, via donations of sports equipment, sports scholarships for rising stars and coaching camps provided free of charge in the North and South of Sri Lanka.

Harry Solomons and Kingsgrove Sports has been one our most ardent and constant sources of support over the years, in our quest to develop rural cricket in Sri Lanka. Kingsgrove Sports, based in Australia, has been supporting our aspiring Cricketers from rural Sri Lanka by way of numerous shipments of brand new cricket gear and equipment including bats, helmets, pads  and clothing. Despite economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic and delays in shipments, Kingsgrove Sport also sponsors talented cricketers who have come up through the FoG Sports Academy and nor play at a National/ International level; Kavisha Dilhari, tharindu Kaushal, Ramesh Mendis and Pulina Tharanga providing top of the line gear to help them excel at their craft.

In addition to that, Harry Solomons and Kingsgrove Sport have also ensured that the Seenigama Surrey Oval is well equipped with an Astro Turf Wicket. He has also supported our initiative of setting up the Seenigama Kingsgrove Sports Bat Repair Unit (currently under development) by donating machinery and technical assistance. This is a part of our sustainable income generation plan, to ensure our beneficiaries have consistent training and equipment. Harry Solomons has also constantly promoted Sports Tours to Sri Lanka, bringing school and club teams from Australia to take up the challenge and play against our FOG teams,  in collaboration with Connaissance de Ceylon.

There are few individuals who have done more for rural cricket development in Sri Lanka than Harry Solomons and Kingsgrove Sports! We thank them for their constant support and look forward to many more empowerment projects in the future!
