A longstanding friend of FoG, Inosha Campion hosted an innovative fundraiser for the Foundation at her home in Australia. Inspired by our Sustainable Income Generation Initiative ‘Plates of Goodness’, Inosha organised a sumptuous Sri Lankan meal, where each guest’s contribution went towards supporting beneficiaries from the FoG Women’s Empowerment Sector for the period of one year, with the purchase of their ticket priced at AUD 60.

The ladies at Inosha’s table were delighted to have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal while helping their less privileged sisters across the ocean. Inosha raised Rs. 70,440.77 through her wonderful initiative on behalf of the Foundation of Goodness. 8 ladies, from our Women’s Empowerment Centre are currently being sponsored for the duration of July – December, 2019 through these funds.

The kind gesture made by Inosha and her guests is greatly appreciated by the Foundation of Goodness for impacting the lives of rural disadvantaged women, as well as for supporting community care and development programmes organised by us via 10 empowerment divisions in operation to benefit 28,000+ villagers annually, free of cost.

To date 4,500+ women from 146 villages have graduated from 8 livelihood courses through the Foundation of Goodness.
