The Foundation of Goodness strongly believes that inculcating good ethics and values in children is an integral part of their growth and development. In fact, we believe that learning about ethics and values is as important as the formal education they receive in the school system.

Under the Children’s Good Values Initiative, the FoG has always encouraged children and youth to attend life skills development workshops as well as engage in community projects, which not only benefits the society as a whole, but also individual growth.

Joining this invaluable effort was Learn for Life Lanka – L4LL, which partnered with us to conduct a socio-emotional learning session for our students from the Children’s Good Values Initiative at the Seenigama, Akurala and Kahawa Centres. The training session got underway at the OYOB Centre of Excellence in Seenigama.

The youth and children who attended the session were informed on the importance of a growth mindset, leadership skills, utilizing new skills and abilities for personal growth among others. The students greatly benefited from this programme as they were guided towards the path of righteousness and humility, motivating them to achieve their goals.

The Children’s Good Values Initiative of the Foundation of Goodness is designed to empower children and the youth to become the best version of themselves, whilst giving back to the community in whichever way they can to create a better world tomorrow.
