There is nothing better you can do for a loved one than to do a good deed in their name. The accumulated blessings of acts of kindness are immeasurable. The Foundation of Goodness is honoured to have helped facilitate these acts of kindness across rural Sri Lanka as part of our humanitarian endeavours, and we have seen a rise in the number of people who are choosing to mark an important day by bringing joy to deserving families that need support.
The Sujatha Special Needs Home for 77 residents aged between 4 and 92 is a constant recipient of love from the FoG family, with several meals sponsored in lieu of birthdays, anniversaries and in memory of loved ones. These contributions have made a marked difference in their lives over the past year, helping them obtain a better standard of life.
Several tube wells, pipe-borne water connections and toilets benefiting rural communities in the North and East of Sri Lanka were also constructed this year, thanks to kind donations by Ashan and Swasha Malalasekera, Sanjiv Malalasekera, Sidath and Sharmini Wettimuny, Tina and Salina and Iqbal Cassim, who decided thought to alleviate the suffering of others as a dedication to those they hold dear.
We at the Foundation of Goodness salute our kind donors who reach out to make life better for others and create a lasting legacy in the name of the people they love.
