In a luminous display of solidarity and empowerment, Miss Sri Lanka, Sadé Greenwood, graced our centre in Seenigama, Hikkaduwa, with her radiant presence. Amidst her visit, she seamlessly weaved through our diverse projects, leaving an indelible mark of inspiration and unity.
Venturing into the depths of our income generation projects, Sadé explored the bustling Dive Centre and embarked on a tranquil Nature Cruise, celebrating the resilience and ingenuity of our local communities. Delving into the heart of tradition, she shared laughter and culinary wisdom during a cherished “Plates of Goodness” session, fostering bonds of shared heritage. Undeterred by boundaries, Sade embraced the spirit of athleticism and camaraderie at our Sports Centre, igniting passions and championing dreams. In a heartfelt gesture of empowerment, Sadé led a makeup workshop at our Women’s Empowerment Centre, imparting skills and confidence to women striving for independence and self-expression. She also shared insights into the world of pageantry, offering a glimpse into her journey and igniting aspirations in the hearts of our community members.
During her visit, Sadé also highlighted the significance of our bat repair unit, underscoring the importance of nurturing talents within our community.
However, amidst the whirlwind of activities, it was Sadé’s visit to the Special Needs Kids’ Unit that resonated most deeply. Here, in moments of pure connection and understanding, she embodied compassion, reaffirming the belief that every individual deserves love, respect, and opportunity.
As Sadé bid farewell, her luminous spirit lingered, casting a glow of hope and inspiration upon our centre. Her visit serves as a testament to the transformative power of unity and empathy, guiding us towards a future where all voices are heard, and all dreams are within reach.
