The Foundation of Goodness is happy to announce the completion of the first stage of essential grocery pack distributions across the island, despite the many logistical challenges due to the current crisis situation in Sri Lanka.
Our team across the country worked tirelessly to ensure that these 1118 packs were distributed to 81 struggling rural communities in the North, South, East, Upcountry and West of Sri Lanka before the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
These families are facing extreme difficulties due to the current situation and thanks kind contributions, they now have food to eat for up to 4 weeks. The kindness and generosity of our donors made the New Year one worth smiling for.
We are now gearing up for the second phase of distributions, despite the many logistical challenges, including the lack of fuel. Follow us on social media for continuous updates as we reach out towards the many rural Sri Lankans in need.
