We are delighted to announce the opening of our newest reverse osmosis (R. O.) water plant at Ihala Thammennawa School in Medawachchiya. This significant initiative, generously sponsored by the Pimp My Tuk Tuk Charity Group, was inaugurated on the 25th of July and marked our 19th R. O. plant installation.

This new facility will provide clean drinking water to the neighbourhood, significantly improving their health and well-being. By ensuring access to safe and pure water, we aim to combat the prevalent issue of kidney stones and other waterborne diseases that afflict many in rural areas due to the consumption of unclean and unsafe drinking water.

The impact of this R. O. plant extends beyond the school, benefiting 150 families, which translates to approximately 600 individuals. By providing a reliable source of clean water, we are not only improving the current health conditions but also ensuring that future generations are safeguarded against the dangers of unsafe drinking water.

The health benefits of clean water cannot be overstated. With this new R. O. plant, we anticipate a marked reduction in water-related health issues, contributing to a healthier, more vibrant community. This initiative underscores our commitment to improving the quality of life for those in rural areas and demonstrates the profound difference that access to clean water can make.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Pimp My Tuk Tuk Charity Group for their invaluable support in making this project a reality. Together, we are fostering a healthier future for the students, staff, and families near Ihala Thammennawa School.
