The Foundation of Goodness is thrilled to announce the opening of our 20th Village Heartbeat Empowerment Centre in the vibrant city of Kandy. This milestone is a testament to our commitment to providing free educational and vocational opportunities to underserved, rural communities across Sri Lanka.
Our new centre in Kandy offers a diverse range of courses designed to uplift and empower individuals. From English and IT to beauty courses and women’s empowerment programmes, we are dedicated to catering to various interests and needs. The centre also features a well-stocked library, a preschool, and classes in science, mathematics, Tamil, and traditional Sri Lankan dance. Each of these programmes is crafted to provide valuable skills and knowledge, fostering personal growth and community development.
The primary aim of the Village Heartbeat Empowerment Centre is to create educational opportunities, offer vocational training, and provide community support. By doing so, we hope to instil a sense of hope and empowerment in the local community. The inauguration of this centre marks a significant step towards building stronger, self-sustaining communities through the power of education and empowerment and bridging the urban-rural divide.
Our vision is to see communities flourish, with individuals capable of achieving their full potential and contributing positively to society. The Kandy Centre is not just a place for learning but a hub for fostering resilience, creativity, and a sense of community.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us in this journey. Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of many, one village at a time. We look forward to seeing the positive impact our 20th Village Heartbeat Empowerment Centre will have on the Kandy community and beyond.
Stay tuned for more updates and success stories from our centres around the country. Let’s continue to spread goodness and empower our communities.
